Empyrion

(meaning “in the fire“) is a reimagining of Stockhausen’s Gesang der Jünglinge composed with voice, effect pedals, and percussion. The text in the booklet borrows from the 18th century classic Chinese novel, Dream of the Red Chamber, which is also the source for the popular Chinese soap opera Song of Youth.

Empyrion comes as a limited edition vinyl LP 12″ with individually painted B-side and an artist book. Released through edition liane #10, published by Heinz Havemeister (2024).
