I, Too, Am Sad And Lonely.

Sad And Lonely

This album continues the ongoing dialogue with American poet and conceptual writer Robert Fitterman. It drifts through a landscape of appropriated language, ambient textures, and rhythmic fragments. Sad and Lonely and Lost Song feature Fitterman’s voice and lyrics, appropriated from classic western and torch songs — reimagining some of the saddest tropes of country ballads with a dry, knowing irony. The lyrics repeat and unravel the clichés of heartbreak, loneliness, and longing, while the music moves elsewhere entirely. The remaining instrumental tracks are improvised experiments: soundscapes, skeletal rhythms, and guitar manipulations shaped by delay, fuzz, voice, and drum machine. These pieces exist as a kind of open search — a practice of sonic inquiry unconcerned with genre, anchored in material process.
