ambientfunk is the moniker of Klaus Killisch, a visual artist based in Berlin. As a teenager, he built his own electric guitar, inspired by a photo of a Fender Stratocaster. This guitar is still part of his music production. He has collaborated with a number of musicians, visual artists and poets, notably Mikael Erikssonn ( playin’ ), Robert Fitterman, Enkidu rankX and Richard Sylvarnes ( KaiSaR, phaenos ). He has been working on his solo project ambientfunk since 2015. He is increasingly interested in the fusion of ambient music with experimental techniques. His latest releases Empyrion and The Mystic are collaborations with poet Robert Fitterman and are released as limited edition vinyl LPs with artist books.
