La Biennale di Venezia

In 1990, I was invited to the Biennale di Venezia to exhibit my paintings. That was a few months after the fall of the Wall. The Museum Berlinische Galerie organized the exhibition Ambiente Berlin, an overview of art in West Berlin, expanded to include (only) 5 artists from East Berlin. The exhibition was shown in the main Italian pavilion in the Gardinis. It was all very exciting and new; the trip, Venice, the openings and all the art people.
