The book was created after a joint trip by car through the USA with the American poet Robert Fitterman and the German artists Sabine Herrmann and Klaus Killisch. In short, laconic poems, one state or situation is described at a time. As a diary, it describes the outward and return journey, the journey from the East Coast to the West Coast and back. In the middle of the journey, the book is turned and turned over.

Nach einer gemeinsamen Reise durch die USA mit dem amerikanischen Dichter Robert Fitterman und den deutschen Künstlern Sabine Herrmann und Klaus Killisch entstand dieses Künstlerbuch. In kurzen, lakonischen Gedichten wird jeweils ein Bundesstaat bzw. eine Situation beschrieben. Als ein Tagebuch beschreibt es Hin und Rückweg, die Reise von Ostküste zur Westküste und zurück. Auf der Mitte des Weges wird das Buch gedreht und anderes herum geblättert.
